New study ranks beaches ‘most Instagrammable’ in NI
North coast beaches took the top five spots in a study by Hot Spring Spas NZ.
BENONE and Downhill have both been named in the top five ‘most instagrammable’ beaches in Northern Ireland.
New research has ranked the most Instagrammable beaches in Northern Ireland by Instagram posts per metre.
The study, by spa pool manufacturers Hot Spring Spas NZ, counted the Instagram posts tagged for the best-known beaches across the UK, then divided each beach's posts by its length in metres to find which draws the most photos per metre.
NI’s most Instagrammable beach in Portrush, with 128 Instagram posts per metre.
Second is Portstewart Strand, with five Instagram posts per meter; in third place is Ballycastle with three posts per metre, Benone beach with one post per metre took fourth place and in fifth place with one post per metre is Downhill.
The five beaches together accumulated almost 300,000 Instagram posts.
