All monies raised will go towards funding Cancer Focus Northern Ireland's breast cancer support services in the Foyle area, which includes counselling and support groups.

Runners, walkers, and pooches were splashed in pink powder from head to toe for a great cause as Cancer Focus NI’s first Pink Run took place in Derry-Londonderry.

Hundreds of people of all ages descended on Ebrington Square for the sold-out 5k fun run. The route was wheelchair/pushchair friendly and dogs were welcome too.

Recently, the charity also announced that it is working in partnership with the Western Trust to develop the North West Cancer Support Centre at Altnagelvin, made possible thanks to £4.1million in All-Island Funding.

The Centre, based on the grounds of the hospital, will revolutionise cancer care by providing expert support, without need for referral, for people and families affected by cancer.
